This Single Sided EVA Foam Tape is made for applications where only one side needs to bond. The adhesive-coated side attaches to the surface, while the open EVA foam face stays soft enough to cushion contact, fill small gaps, reduce light vibration, or protect against rubbing noise. This structure is different from double sided EVA foam tape. It is not mainly for bonding two parts together; it is for fixing the material on one side while keeping the other side functional as a foam buffer.

The foam grade should be selected according to the real gap, contact pressure, and edge shape. In sample checks, lower-density EVA foam usually compresses more easily against slightly uneven surfaces, which helps with soft sealing and small-gap contact. Higher-density foam gives better support when the part is pressed repeatedly or when the foam needs to hold its shape for a longer time. For reference, compression set is commonly around <=10% – 25%, depending on foam density, load, and test conditions.

Adhesive choice also matters. Hot melt adhesive is often used when fast initial tack is needed on common indoor surfaces. Acrylic adhesive is a better option when aging resistance, temperature range, or cleaner residue observation is more important.
